I have 2 new grandbabies this year (as I know I’ve said before ). I made them a cute ornament from the catalog then decided I needed to design my own. So I decided on a shaker ornament.
I did this ENTIRELY using premium. Just wanted some of the newer folks to know you can do quite a bit there!
wow they are terrific… I am hoping to run BEAMER over the holiday weekend some.
Wow, i really love the small detail you have in there like their length and weight. Very cute.
Super cute!! Nice keepsake!
It amazes me just how easy and quickly you can bang out something nice with the pro GFUI. Very cool.
Thanks everyone. I love making things with the GF!
Great concept, haven’t seen that before. Not just for babies, right?
Those turned out marvelous! Love how you have the details of their births!
Ohmygosh, adorable! What did you use for the clear cover? Seems thinner than clear medium acrylic.
Thanks, It was clear medium acrylic.
Ditto @ellencadwell and @CMadok - the birth details are great! An inspired ornament.
Those are nice but am now wondering why one is from Kansas and the other Missouri? Are they cousins or just living on the border?
They are cousins…and the Kansas one is pretty much on the border so not too far away that we can do a day trip and see her!
So adorable! And congrats on the new grandbabies!
Super cute! What did you use to glue the acrylic to the wood?
Super glue. I usually put it on the wood then put a piece of paper on top so any ‘smears’ are evened out then put the acrylic on.
How about 3M tape? Then it’s cut perfectly to match, and if you’ve painted or used colored acrylic, it wouldn’t show.
I do it when I make keychains and other things. And if it’s clear acrylic, the 3M gives it kind of a textured look, which certainly isn’t ideal if you want a nice smooth look, but I’ve not had luck getting any type of glue to not show on clear either.
Extremely sweet and lovely
