Shameless plug: upcoming gallery show

Having a glowforge pushed me along a path that i did not imagine at the time of purchase. It perfectly intersected my growing interest in LED art and allows me to create some interesting pieces. Which led me down the path of being an artist with works in galleries.

Next month on the 7th, i will be taking another step down that path with a new gallery show. This show is part of a much larger summer long group of shows and exhibitions organized by the Getty Museum under the banner Getty PST. This year’s focus for the getty: art and technology. That works for me.

Along with spirit lamps and clocks which some of you may recognize from my prior posts, this show will focus on my large matrix pieces.

While the visible parts if those do not show any laser cut parts, the practical side is highly dependent on laser cut bits.

If you are in LA, please consider checking it out.

Robert Berman Gallery
Bergamot station, Santa Monica

Opening reception 11 am to 6 pm on Sept 7.
I will be in attendance.

The show runs into October.

Congratulations! I think there are many people that had their lives changed by the Glowforge. It was hard to imagine that a tool would change the trajectory of careers, but it certainly has played an important role for many people.

I am happy that you have been able to use this machine to bring some of your artistic visions to life, and your art brings joy to others.

The opening went well. A couple of photos. Every piece has some between 10 and 80% glowforge content.

Thats very impressive. A nice thing that I noticed is that there are different items, not just stacks of the same thing. The layout is welcoming too. Thanks for sharing.

I love how the room lights are off to let the pieces literally shine! (They shine figuratively too!)

I moved to Sedona over a year ago. I miss some people and the variety of dining opportunities. I do not miss the traffic.
