Shipping issues

So I ordered the basic model on Sept 12th and when I ordered, they showed the model in stock and a delivery date of (I believe) Sept 22nd, but definitely a Sept 2018 delivery date. That date of course has passed…I can not get any replies to my emails asking for an updated date. I did get one on friday (9/28) saying they were directing it to a team to get answers, but since then…nothing. It’s like they have all but disappeared and have gone silent. Is this the normal Mode of Operation for this company?
