I tend to use the space on either side of the door as “Infeed” & “outfeed” when I’m doing a large project. After one too many times where things fell to the floor I built these side tables. They work great!

The first photo makes it look like it you had slotted it directly into the Glowforge, but the second photo makes a lot more sense. Great idea 
Clever idea. It’s a constant struggle to prevent any horizontal surface from becoming a storage table.
