If your like me and have a bunch of scraps and dont have a good caliper to measure the thickness of materials. They usually come different widths anyawy. Hate wasting material. I made my self this handy dandy slot checker thingy. Now I can cut the top and then check the closest slot for the base. Its in inches. I used inkscape. I keep it by my GF.

Thanks. Just look at the tag and add a few zeros to the h x w measurements to embiggen it.
