I have a pro and a basic and when I cut small things they burn. Any help?
Have you tried adjusting the speed/power settings? What wood are you cutting?
As @dklgood mentioned: try dialing down the power settings.
Also, if it’s burning due to the flashback from the crumb tray, then try “floating” the material. I have some scrap draftboard that I set down first, then place the corners of the small objects on the draftboard. The cutting area is held “floating” over empty space. Then the flashback doesn’t touch the material that’s being cut.
(If you take this floating approach, also put a piece of material on top of the draftboard for a focusing target.)
I am using quarter inch plywood. Those are things I will try. thank you so much
