So I am wondering, does the glowforge currently have anything that adjusts focus depth on the fly? So say for example I want to deep engrave something with 2 or more passes, my initial focal depth is set on the first pass, but on each pass after that some matieral will have been removed. Does GF account for this somehow, or would it be smarter to manually set each pass up? Or does this not even matter given the small increments being amde?

I don’t think it is released yet.

I think that is what the unreleased 3D engrave will do.
You can set this up by assigning focus manually to each step, but it doesn’t do it automatically yet.
