Software for beginner

I’ve been experimenting with different programs. What software does everyone recommend to use for a beginner other than the Glowforge software? Thanks!

I personally found Inkscape easy to use. Others use various other software…

I use Inkscape (vector) and PaintNet (raster) - but there are literally dozens (dozens of dozens) of threads on here where people talk about programs, and everyone has their favorite. You really have to try a few (try all the free ones!) and find the ones that work for your brain.

My vote goes to inkscape but I also use paint.net to clean up images.

Inkscape is the most intuitive to me. Everyone is different, however.
