Thanks to some help from @bwente, I was able to make these lovely guys this weekend.
The Dark one is made from Transparent Purple acrylic (Looks REALLY good with a backlight). I manually adjusted the openings to match the acrylic I was using, but was still a bit loose. On the Yellow one I glued the legs in place and it made a world of difference.

Even though I try to stay away from spiders … Kudos for a job well done. Yuk!
