Startup stuck on fan, no clicking

I haven’t run into this problem before and I’m having a hard time trying to find it on the forum. When I start up my GF the fan usually revs up and back down, then clicks. It won’t get to the clicking part, it almost sounds like the fan won’t go all the way back down and the whole process is stuck there. I’ve tried restarting several times, I really don’t know what the problem is. It was working fine an hour ago. Any suggestions? Has anyone else had this happen?

Welp, this was a classic case of “ask for help, immediately fix my own problem”. Leaving this up though in case it helps someone else. My WiFi went out so I had to tether the GF to my phone. During the reset process the fan had to cut off and that seems to have fixed whatever was getting scrambled. Just did a successful print with no problem.

Glad you found it - I was stumped.

You and me both! That was lucky, I’ll never be so grateful that my WiFi went bad :joy:
