just trying things out. everything was made on the forge with the exception of the pine banding around the outside. neck was made from multiple pieces stacked together.

Thanks Jules,
Doesn’t sound great yet this was my first attempt. I made a raised profile for the frets. Next time i will make a slot for real frets to slide in and also play with different materials.

Well, i think it’s cool to build one from scratch…before long you’ll be a luthier.

Outstanding! I wonder if it would sound better if you used one of the tone woods like Indian rosewood.

Making an instrument like this is on my list of things I want to attempt!

What are the pieces I would need to purchase?

  • Strings
  • What holds the strings at the bottom
  • What tightens the strings at the top
