I’ve never had any issues with my Glowforge, until this weekend when I’ve been trying to get a bunch of Christmas presents made (admittedly last second). It keeps stopping mid job. The head suddenly stops, laser off, and the fan / timer just keep going merrily along as if the printer is still working fine. No error messages or anything. I have to turn the unit off and back on to get it to work again. I can make this work very consistently at the exact same moment on one of my cuts. I’m reeeeally worried about the jobs I have to do that will take more like 40 minutes.
I’ve tried converting to PDF instead of SVG, but that didn’t help. Has anybody experienced this?
What is the temp in the room? It the room in an upstairs room or something that would have heat pumped in with this cold weather season and then getting too hot?
Solved (sorta): After chatting with the awesome support people on the phone, it sounds like I have a failing power supply sadly. I don’t the stopping midprint issue if I drop my laser power from 100% to about 95% (and slow down to compensate).
