Could you try turning your Glowforge off, removing any material from the bed, and powering it back on without any material on the crumb tray?
I’m sorry for the trouble, @DesignsByPhil. I extracted the logs from your Glowforge to investigate, and @jae’s advice is correct. It looks like the material in the bed of your Glowforge is creating images our software has trouble processing for calibration. Please let me know if you’re able to calibrate successfully with that material removed. Thanks!
After 5 tries it finally homed fully. Were the servers down?

No, there was material on the bed that was confusing the camera. I thought Vee described the issue pretty well in her response.
