Speaking of hops I ran a tracert to app.glowforge.com and no drops.
I’m of the opinion it’s usually something inside the house that’s the problem when it’s wi-fi – something physical between the GF and the router blocking the signal (one person had put up a piece of sheet metal to stick magnets to), other devices on the same channel, etc. etc.
