Stuck on focus/orange light

Our machine is stuck on focus with an orange light. It was printing great then nothing. We have tried:

Off/On
Cleaning the entire machine
Reconnecting the white wire
Reconnecting to our wifi
Although it was hot today outside, it was not too hot or too cold in our GF room

I’m attaching photos of our circut board, white cable and connector.

Thank you in advance.

Amanda

Well, the picture of the circuit board won’t be all that useful. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one with more gunk on it. Can’t see the connectors.

Just curious, what are you cutting that’s so filthy?

We run the machine about 10 hrs a day cutting Baltic birch. We’ve vacuumed out by the curvy board but with the cover on, it’s hard to get to.

Are you within these parameters;?

The Glowforge Basic is designed for use between 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 Celsius) and 75°F (24°C). The Pro has an expanded operating range up to 81°F (27°C).

Yes. We own a pro and it is 75° in our room.

I’m sorry for the recent trouble with your Glowforge. After reviewing your unit’s logs along with the photos, we’ve determined that sending you a replacement print head is the best next step.

I see that you’ve emailed us about this topic, so I’m going to close this forum thread and we’ll coordinate next steps with you there.
