I have a request to make business cards out of 1.25mm (3/64") Bamboo. I cant seem to find a supplier. Any insight into my search would be extremally helpful. Thanks Steve
Does it have to be bamboo?
I don’t have a source for bamboo, but I love https://www.cardsofwood.com/ for other printable/laserable veneers.

I’ve never heard of bamboo sheets that thin, and I can’t imagine how they would be stable/strong enough.

I second the Cards of Wood suggestion. They don’t have bamboo (probably because it isn’t wood) but what they do have is great.

Generally, thin stuff gets laminated with paper for stability.

I get 4x4 sheets of what looks like luan from my local Lowes for free. Some of the products shipped to the store has a few layers of it for protection during shipping. It is about the thickness of a debit card and they just throw it away.

Thanks everyone, I have one of his cards so I know its available. It is a single layer of bamboo. I was just not finding it in my searches. I will check out the links in the comments. Steve

Please post if you find stuff that works. I have some bamboo plywood given to me by a cabinet shop owning friend who loves the look but hates working with the stuff. I cut thin strips off of the edge and use it in various projects because the cross section looks sooo cool. You could probably glue up several strips and then run it through a bandsaw to get really thin veneers, just not sure how well it’d hold up to being not rigid without thickness.

I will post what I find, bandsaw option I can do but that is to much work for this type of project.
