Surfing Amelia Island

I just might have to put this one up at one of the local surf shops.
All stained Baltic Birch. I liked the burn residue around the lettering, so I left that in.

Beautiful! I think you were spot on keeping the residue.

Love Amelia Island!

We go there for the 4th of July on our wedding anniversary.

Our trip to Amelia this year isn’t until September. We usually go in June. Always a highlight of our summer.

It’s so nice to see something related to surfing that isn’t screaming colors. The contrast in your materials make it quite eye-catching, no screams needed.

That is a VERY elegant display. So did you support the lettering in the middle and end areas where they appear to be floating?

A very nice piece!
At this point I have to use Google for any surfing I do.

Thank you. The lettering is only glued to the surfboard rails.

I’m about at that point myself…

Thanks, this one is small - 10.5"h x 8"w. Didn’t want to waste too much wood on the first try with the price of wood lately.
