Me again. I found that the top 8 branches are very tight fits. I can only speculate as to why they would be tighter than the others, maybe heat deforming small parts. Anyway I increased the diameter of the top 8 by .003. The top one is still tight but the hole cannot be made bigger in this tiny piece. Here is the revised svg

Holey Tree

With regards to the lights. It is a non trivial task to make the lights and connection to the controller. In fact I do not yet have a robust model. Here is a picture of what must be made to fit into the tree once the tube is removed.


Two finished, one under construction. I will try to have complete instruction as soon as I can. If you’re not good at soldering then this is not for you. But, since it’s for 4th grade I will donate one if I finish in time for Xmas.

Thank you again, my class would really enjoy it. I am not someone who has ever soldered. I was considering my light source, I had not decided what to do. Yours is so vibrant.
