I couldn’t resist. I sold a few of these magnets at an art event last night. The banana cut/engrave is actually a modified version of Andy Warhol’s banana cover for the Velvet Underground & Nico album. It’s hand colored with yellow India ink, Tombow acid free market, and watercolor, fixed with an aerosol matte fixative.

Very convincing, I had to continue reading what they were to figure out that they weren’t actually bananas with duct tape on them.

Thanks so much! My background is in drawing, so I’m glad to hear I haven’t lost my touch. But the duct tape is real duct tape. 💁🏻
