Thrift store find turned conversation piece

I paid $3 for a worn out Solid oak lazy Susan. It was in sad shape but the turntable mechanism was still in working condition. (I wish I had taken a before picture but, I wasn’t thinking about that at the time) I sanded it down with a mouse sander until only the raw wood remained. I took it apart, made my engrave then restained with a darker oak stain (to make it more modern) then varnished it. I literally turned the lazy Susan into a piece of art ready for gift giving! It’s darker than the picture shows.

I’m always on the lookout for things I can repurpose or refinish. It’s a good way to make extra money too

one man’s trash is another’s treasure.

You gave a lazy susan to someone… named Susan?
That’s expert level.
