TIP Homing will fail if GF is exposed to direct sunlight.

I couldnt get my GF to home, one i pulled the curtains it worked. Turns out it cant home while in direct sunlight.

It gets confused if it sees its shadow from any bright light. :high_brightness:

Yes, this is true. The GF uses cameras to home and if you have any bright light coming in the shadows will confuse the images. This has been known for quite a while and is one of the first troubleshooting steps when your GF won’t home correctly.

Good reminder! My GF sits right under a south facing window without a shade, when the Sun shines down I cover the forge with some black foam board during calibration or other camera operations.
