Bought the trophy pattern and made it last night. Found the veneer VERY fragile when cut in thin circles. In fact, had to cut them again because the largest ring cracked in half twice!
I used permanent ink and a galaxy gold ink to color it and fill in the engrave. Not sure why, but the piece inserted into the top was TOO LONG and I had to cut off a little over 1/4”. I read through the instructions again, twice, and even double checked that the pattern was “reset” in he GF app in case I had hit something that lengthened that piece. Still, it was very easy to cut and assemble!

Cute! Bet it would also look great with some of the gold or chrome polyester film on the surface before cutting/engraving.
