I recently have encountered a problem with my glowforge. Whenever I make a new file and upload the svg and try to focus it I get this error message. I have recalibrated the machine, unplugged it, cleaned it, it’s cutting off because it’s not focusing but it’s only on new files when I open older ones or uploaded ones from Etsy it has no problem focusing.
Can you focus on the material with no file? Can you open an old file, focus and then drag a new file onto the bed and delete the old one or move it off of the usable area. What you describe is quite strange interface behavior. The focus command has little or nothing to do with the file being used.
