I made a new gift box with a twist out-draw, hidden wooden hinge, and a crazy detailed art deco-inspired pattern.
The lid design was very fine - the width of each section is around 1/8 th of an inch in places, but the GF did an amazing job.
Proofgrade walnut and maple ply.

Wow! But you still have some “weeding” to do. Duct tape!

Quite a bit to catch that! A needle I think, preferably dental tool for that beautiful design; interesting closure.

I’m being completely dense here - how does that hinge work???
Beautiful. I love how fine a detail we can get on the GF.

Wow that is incredible! Nice work
Lovely! The design of the lid is gorgeous and I like that the drawer swings out instead of a straight pull.

This is gorgeous! Keep up the good work!
Actually, this is a very effective way of spotting places that get missed. I take a photo of what I made after I’ve weeded it. Put it on my desktop screen and look carefully at it. Easy to see missed masking bits. Sometimes I have the actual piece in my hand while I look at the screen so I can better locate them.
