Unboxing issue: unit covered in light oil(?)

My Glowforge was sitting in its box for some time after delivery, and I just got a space ready for it and began the unboxing.

When I opened the plastic, I noticed that some clear liquid - I believe it’s some kind of oil - coating the entire unit. I’ve removed it from the box, but otherwise left it alone.

What is going on? Has something broken? What do I do?!? Help!!!

Yeah, unfortunately it sounds like there damage from handling and the fluid you see in the box is the coolant from the tube.

They will need to replace that - don’t try to use it. (Sorry!) :neutral_face:
