Uncertified materials

I have a bunch of faux leather some of which are glitter. I bought to use on my Cricut machine but wanted to know if I could cut with my GF? Thanks.

There is a good chance that if it is fake leather that it is made from some sort of vinyl which would not be good as the chlorine it releases would destroy your machine. Is it possible to get the sds for the material or more information from the manufacturer as to what is is made of?

i could maybe ask. I’ll give that a try. Thanks.

There are ways to test but they are not always reliable, and to some extent the information from the supplier can be the same way. but it is a good place to start you hunt at, Its where I try to go first off with new materials. always a good thing to be extra vigilant about as cutting just one job with a material that contains chlorine can turn the machine into a literal paperweight.
