Hi. I am making plaques for a garden. I am using inventable laserable acrylic. I am not sure these are going to hold up to the elements, and are becoming quickly stained by the weather. I was hoping I could use brass from Johnson Plastics, but they tell me the material is not UV stable. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!
Something like this maybe?

Ideally UV stable materials are best, but in the meantime or if you already have a bunch of stuff made, some sunscreen might be a solution.
Johnson and Rowmark are Srs Bsns material suppliers, you might look on their site to find laser safe UV stable material options.
I have a piece of cheap cedar stake that I had intended to do this with. Cedar weathers well and I think there is a good chance that as it weathers, the engraved portion will remain readable. I haven’t tried it yet, though.
Anodized?
Johnson Plastics has UV stable material for lasers.
Just search “UV laserable” and you’ll get a list…
Here’s one example.
