I was “commissioned” (no fee - I’ve never sold anything) to create something similar based on the army national guard clock I made for my daughter. It was a unique design based on Celtic symbolism, but very similar to this (and my clock) in execution. A mix of of cutting-and-painting different pieces, inserts (in this case, jewels), some engraving thru painted surfaces, engraving thru masking over painted surfaces, etc. It was a lot of fun to design, finish and assemble, and was quite stunning. The design part was probably 90% of the effort, as careful planning was required - just like my clock.

I rarely post pics of original designs as I know what happens to many of them. I’ve shared (for free) some I have posted in this section with a couple of friends here who asked if I’d consider selling it.
