My venture in that direction was less than successful as building the frame was a lot easier than making a reasonably air tight cover for it,
6" is a lot easier than 10" or 12" to the outside but I would have a wander about a few stores measuring containers. Really terrific would be a 6" plastic jar with a 4" lid opening. I’m thinking perhaps a lifetime supply of giant dill pickles as a side benefit.
