What is this and can it be cleaned?

Hi everyone I was cleaning my machine last
night and this part (the circled item) looks dirty. Can it be wiped off like the lens or no? I tried blowing it off with a can of air like it says to do to the circuit board but it didn’t come off.

Try to loosen that buildup with a Q-tip or toothbrush and hit it with the air again. That fan blows air down the lens bore to keep smoke out, so after the air, I would check that the lens doesn’t have any of that dust on it.

Thanks! I already cleaned the lens last night just to be sure just wasn’t sure about that part.

I was thinking that after brushing and blowing, that might deposit some of the dust in the lens bore.

i tend to unbolt the fan and clean both sides with a q-tip

Although it can be cleaned as suggested, that one is nowhere near in need of it.
