Which way to the beach?

Need directions to the beach? Let this mermaid point the way!!

This layered weathervane is15.5" wide x 6.5" tall and when on her perch, the finished vane is 15.5" wide x 12.5" tall. Best of all, the pieces will fit on a single 1/8" thick, 19.5 x11.5 inch board!

Wow! My eyes were focused on the mermaid. I thought you just added her to an existing weathervane, but if I’m reading correctly you made the entire thing? Super cool!

Way to go! I just thought it was on a pre-existing base too.

What does this spin on? Does it just turn on the wood or are there bearings?

It spins on the wood. Super simple. It makes it easy to remove the mermaid for shipping, or to change her to something else, but it doesn’t spin autonomously like a real weathervane.

That is fabulous! I want one, at least the base! I love the idea of being able to change out the mermaid design.

This is really neat! As others, I thought it was a metal base!! Great job!
