Why are my lines thinner than the SVG file

Hi!

I made a design in silhouette and converted it to SVG. It appears to be successful when I open the file in AI. (I am a beginner when it comes to designing though)

Then I open it in GF and everything but the lines on top and bottom are then same.
Pics of AI vs GF

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The lines are paths, that the laser will follow for cutting or scoring. The text would need to be filled with no path for it to be engraved by default. There are many other ways - you can create a bitmap copy of the text for engraving, although the resolution may be reduced depending on your file and workspace.

When you fired up your machine for the first time, you were directed to a series of tutorials on how to use the machine, including this one on printing text - which shows one method to do what you are looking for.
