I created this drawing in procreate with the intention of engraving it on some sketchbooks for Christmas gifts, and the dang thing won’t engrave.
It acts like it is printing, the head moves back and forth, but the laser isn’t firing.
The laser fires to engrave other art.
Ive never tried to engrave a drawing so maybe I did something wrong? I tried PNG and JPG

That’s good. What was the issue, in case someone else has the same problem? Usually for me, it’s that I have duplicate art sitting on top of each other that I didn’t notice. I usually ungroup the entire thing and delete the piece that wasn’t engraving. Usually I’m left with an identical image, so I know I had multiples canceling it my engrave.

sometimes power setting can get set to zero. I did that one time, and I was like ok no firing… this is a problem. checked settings and somehow I must have clicked by accident and zeroed out the power.
That is a cool effect with the hair. I hope you post the final engraving, the drawing is amazing.
