In his free time, my son likes to game in his room with headphones on. So, when we call him from downstairs he doesn’t hear us. So, this audio and visual notification that works over WiFi adds as a solution.

Wonderful! We use LED strip lights that we make blink. Are you using arduino and something like Blink? Cools stuff!

Yes, Arduino. I’m using an Adafruit 8266 feather. You can use any version of the 8266 microcontrollers. You can also use an 8266 microcontroller with python or circuit python as well.

This is brilliant. We have Echo Dots throughout the house (three floors) so we can announce dinners, family meetings, betdtimes, etc. My son and husband do not hear the announcements downstairs when they have their headphones on. (They have been known to keep playing through the smoke detector going off) I need some giant, flashing, neon sign version of this.
