I have been working with abalone for awhile with some ocean/tropical themes but decided to see what this looks like. I like how it turned out. Used draft board base with maple veneer and abalone.

Oh wow that’s incredible. I never would have guessed abalone. Do you dye it, or does it come that way?
I bought it that color. Technically they have it called Paua purple agate.

Where do your source your abolone, if you don’t mind me asking? Do you laser it to fit as well? Beautiful!

I get it from a supplier in New Zealand. You can also get some from Amazon, but the New Zealand material is better. Yes, it is lasered to fit.
