We moved into a new house this year and I wanted to do an ornament to celebrate. I didn’t have a translucent blue acrylic, so I ‘painted’ on some alcohol ink and engraved through that. Engraved out a space on the back of the base to glue in the 1/16 acrylic. Prettry happy with the results

I’m jealous. We’ve been in the new house for a year and I’m only just now getting all my laser stuff unpacked & sorted out. No chance I’m going to be making even a “2nd Christmas” ornament 
i had the laser and studio unpacked and producing before we had moved in the rest of the household stuff.

No, it’s just the engraving of the clear acrylic that have been painted with alcohol ink before engraving.
