Tried cutting out some Polynesian style fish hooks on the Glowforge. These were cut out of 1/4" walnut and oak planks, then dremeled to round over the edges and tied up with wax string I had for leather work.

That is a project I’d never have dreamed of, didn’t even know was a thing, and am now happy to know it IS a thing.

Have you seen Disney’s “Moana”, a large fish hook figures prominently in the story.
