Woven Stacked Bin

Inspired by how woven strands go around every other support pillar when weaving a basket.

Simpler
and a slightly more ornate version after I decided to add more pins to the design as decoration.

One caveat, the biggest issue with the design is all the rings that are needed,
WasteRings
which lead to a lot of hard to reuse circle pieces.

That’s lovely - and another place where the colouring of the cut edge makes a positive impression!

Ornaments. Coasters. Earrings…how big are they?

I love the design. I’d suggest adding a full circle cut slightly inside the existing “Leftover” piece as the first operation, and then you have plain circle “blanks” that would (hopefully) be more usable for other things. Just a thought.

Very interesting. Thank you.

Turn the inside circles into coasters? Xmas decorations? Business cards?
A set of small box sides? Tokens for games? Pieces for a catan board?
Small watch faces?

Yup, all good suggestions on how to make use of the centers. Thanks!

I don’t usually design those kinds of things, but I could definitely use this as an opportunity to creatively branch out. I originally was just going to make a large batch of honeycomb pins.
