Anyone have an x-tool screen printer? I am struggling with setting for 200 mesh. I am down to 1000 speed 10 power 195 lpi. Most but not all emulsion is removed. If I go higher it burns through mesh.
huh. that seems odd. 10 power wouldn’t seem like enough to burn it off.
i haven’t run one in a while, but i looked up my saved settings and i was using 1000/75/270 and one pass on my basic.
The screens xtool sells are Polyester fast engrave screens. When I originally tried 1000/75/270 I ended up with a burnt hole. Suggestion?
@Aloha , can you help?
I don’t know if they changed the screens, the ones I got from x-tool are metal, and I use the above settings that I think I got from shop, and use it in the
since I don’t have an x-tool anything other than the screens.
I did some digging and found the metal ones. Will purchase and try those. Thanks for your help!
i have the original screens from xtools and those are the settings i used. i never cut thru them. and my settings are almost exactly the same as @aloha’s.
you can see multiple people are using similar settings (and you can see what the screens we got from xtool look like after engraving in this thread from a couple of years ago.
Thanks! They sell polyester fast engrave now. I think I found some metal ones I am ordering those now.
good to know. i doubt the polyester would be any faster on the GF. the settings we were posting above are already at 1000 sp.
Though much lower power!
I’d also guess the poly ones won’t last like the metal. Great that we have a thread that clarifies there are two different kinds now, cuz you know someone else will have this question!
Some of us still haven’t even opened the box from XTool. That’s been what? 3 years almost?
