Yellow button Help!

Got my new GF Plus HD after having an Aura for 2 years. When I opened the box i noticed that the liquid had leaked and there was a noticeable bubble in the cooling line. From Tips here I turned the machine on to see if it would clear. It did and I went ahead with the set up, made a few cuts to test and then left the machine for the day. I went to use it this morning and now I am getting a yellow light and the glowforge page just says “Centering the head of your glowforge”. I restarted the GF , reloaded the page and it still sits and does nothing. I don’t know if the yellow light is telling me about the cooling system or the print head that sometimes it can be so I am seeing if anyone here might have a better idea what the yellow light is trying to tell me.

The yellow light could indicate a number of things, but an issue with the print head is one you can address - try re-seating it, unplugging the grey cable, etc. All while powered off, of course.

Glowforge has a troubleshooting guide for this here:

TL;DR is: check the temperature in the room isn’t too high, check the cable connections to the printer head

I have an AC unit running and its at a constant 70 right now. I’ve run through most all of these option to try and get it going. Reset, unplugged … no luck. It makes a little clicky sound when the machine starts to try and run the centering and then yellow light.

The clicking (tapping) is from the focusing mechanism, and if it’s failing, then it’s related to the head.

It is not unusual to have an air bubble in the tube when the Glowforge is first opened but it should go away afer the first use. However, water in the bag of the machine when first opened is another matter. (You would think that the words “Fragile” and “this side up” would have deeper understanding in the shippng trades.) But if the machine is not working when basic testing is done i would have a discussion with the support team about a refurb.
