Yeti Mug Life Preserver (Floaty)

Simple floatation device for a Yeti Mug. I use it in the pool

I used high density EVA foam. Specifically inexpensive flooring sheets cut-down to fit the GF.

I cut two of the patterns and used a hot glue gun to hold the pieces together.

Sorry for the late-in-the-summer posting. Perhaps someone in Australia will appreciate this…

Settings for EVA foam:
Black lines (cut) - Speed 150 / Power 100 (needed to cut through the glossy layer on the foam)
Green line (engrave): Speed 1000 / Power 3 / 90 LPC / 1 pass (very light engraving)
Red Line (engrave) : Speed 1000 / Power 20 / 90 LPC / 1 pass (0.8mm engraving)

Any issues with the water and the hot glue?

Great minds…

Nope. The hot glue seems to hold very well in water.

I moved the post to the “Beyond the Manual” section and put the settings in the main post.

OMG! I didn’t realize that this had already been done! Even the wording is similar… Should I take this posting down? Or perhaps I can just add to your posting…

Yours is an improvement! Insulated and probably more stable.
