Very cool build video. Wondering if brass or aluminum would be sufficient for the bronze he casted? I could mill that part out of brass since I don’t have a foundry setup.

I think depending on the intended use you could make it from wood. Perhaps even on the Glowforge. Admittedly it would be nowhere as strong but assuming you’re using it for stitching leather it should work, and when it breaks you just make another.
