So I have used the PG leather and it seems as though it drys out with first use. For instance if I make a passport cover and have some left over for earrings and I run later… its almost like dry rot?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Just putting this info out there. I’m working on 8-9 oz Veg Tan leather (average thickness = 0.15"). My cleanest cut with it so far has been with these setting while using Vinyl Ease 6" x 100 ft Roll Paper Transfer Tape from Amazon.
Speed - 180
Power - Full
Passes - 1
Focus Height - 0.1"

Sorry for the Necro-posting but I thought y’all would like to know this particular type of leather is called “Latigo” and is used extensively in horse bridle and rein making.

I keep my leather scraps in a ziploc bag. It seems to keep them a little fresher.
