Boy Scout Plaque

All of these Boy Scout plaques floating about with the 3D reliefs looked really nice and seeing as my son is also a Boy Scout this year I figured I would make one but without the 3D portion, for now. It’s his 11th birthday soon and I look forward to his reaction. I added a hanging portion and spacer dots to keep it off the wall. I also put a personally written engraving on the back for him and traced it with the GF.

I used Thick Proofgrade™ Walnut Plywood. The time of the engraving/cutting took 2hrs 21 minutes. The glue I used was the crafting E6000 glue.

I was wondering about the keyhole and how to do it and I came up with the same idea. It would have to be two layers, so medium x2 layers, one loop and the other a backing. Is that what you did?

I did a 1/4" thick piece with a normal slot. Then the keyhole slot in 1/8" material.

Just like the link above only different size.

I was going to just use my cnc with a keyhole bit, but this was just as fast
