Very nice! My only suggestion would be to either stain the pieces blue/red, or make one set of pieces a negative image so it’s noticeably darker than the other.

Going to leave that up to my friend. I also thought if you’re playing across from one another each person could always make their name face toward or away from themselves making it obvious which disks were theirs.

Or one set of discs in Maple and another in Walnut or Cherry.

Your customization is brilliant! I especially love the letter cutouts on the frame. Instead of staining the wood, you could just invert the engraved part so that half the disks have light text on a dark background. Looks great regardless!

Would you mind sharing the modified file? I was working on this thingiverse file today, but it keeps crashing my software and I’m getting nowhere. I want to make it for my nephews for christmas. If not, that’s ok, I’ll get there…eventually. heh.

Thanks you so much! I realized after I asked that one of the forum rules is not to ask for files. Whoops! I wasn’t thinking since it was originally a thingiverse file…I’ll be more careful next time! I really appreciate you sharing it, I’ll now be able to have it done for my nephews for christmas! And their names are actually Emily and Carter!..just kidding. 
That would be kinda weird. heh. I couldn’t even weld the main pieces together without having my program crash, but I’m sure it will let me remove the names
