I would appreciate a link to what contact paper to put on non grade proof wood to protect the wood from burn marks … thx

For the sake of anyone else reading this - “contact paper” is produced mostly from vinyl, the fumes from cutting will kill your machine due to their corrosive nature (HCl).

The correct term is “masking”, and suggestions have been shared above.

I use a lot of contact paper - in my Cricut cutter. Dirt cheap for temporary large-scale designs like on vehicles, etc. My daughter shows some of her cars in a halloween car show every year. I’ve done batman logos for her corvette, pumpkins on her (orange) challenger, etc.
