I’ve always wanted to visit canal plastics. I think the price at canal is more affordable. I’m in need of a very small piece bright purple right now, and don’t feel like spending money on a full sheet or riding my bike to the shop to dig through their scraps.
Maybe I’ll take the train tomorrow and check it out again… it’s so bad for my wallet though. I feel like i leave there unproportionately lighter…acrylic not as heavy as the money i said goodbye to.

The pricing’s not bad, especially if you pick it up and you’re not paying shipping. $12 for a 12x24 sheet of purple acrylic vs. $20 for a 12x20 from Glowforge.
Maybe the temptation is less if you preorder online. But you can’t go in there and not look around.
