I read all of Sandman (both omnibus volumes, included all the Death side stories), good stuff.

Yeah the mask might be what I’m thinking of, but maybe McKean did a collage with a crow’s skull on a cover or something?.. a crow/raven skull seems really vivid in my memory… and it feels really Sandman in my head…
