Fairy Doors

Gang gang! I just realized I’m not a good TPW fan because I haven’t engraved the Rat King’s mullet on anything yet.

I love this idea. Is more info available somewhere? I googled but it just comes back with places for kids to have birthday parties, etc.

And welcome to the forums.

I’m new to GF and one of the things I wanted to make was fairy doors!! I love these thank you! But I’m confused how to download the file to use lol? Is there an attachment I’m missing?

Yes.

The line-art images you see in various posts, including the first one, are embedded SVG files. Right-click on them and, choose save or download from the context menu, as appropriate. You can then load those into the GFUI.

My Girl Scouts can’t meet indoors for a while (COVID) so we will be making these and placing them in a local park.

Maybe this has already been asked, I scrolled but didn’t see it. How do we get the files for Free Laser Designs? Thanks so much! My GF pro just arrived!

When you scroll up to the top, there are two posts by the original poster that have an image on them with different sets of doors. Right click the image and hit “save image as.” It will save it to your computer as an svg file.

Love the fairy doors. We have started doing some as well. We are also putting little gnomes with them as well.

Those are some high end fairies you’ve got!!

Yeah! That looks like it should be carved out of stone not wood!

Really nice work @hagerman.cr ! Did you design that? Perfect use of “shadows” to give it a 3D look.

I can’t say I completely “designed” it. I use software to get the image I want then make some adjustments.

These are the houses we are putting out as well to go with the doors and gnomes.

Oh My! That looks inches deep, not just engraved onto a flat board. I love the wood weaving above the windows–quite elegant. Better than a McMansion…but y’know, tastes vary.
