How old are you? (you don’t have to answer that)…

Both D&D and Lego Minifigures first appeared in the late 70’s, although I was introduced to the Lego at that time (I had friends who got some before I started high school in 1980), but D&D in the mid-80’s…

I did D&D middle school up graduated HS in 1980

I didn’t do anything with minifigs until my girls were born after 2002. And even then it was duplo before the really tiny regular legos were available to daughter prime and later daughter double prime. my lego days were long before that. so I never had any minifigs as a kid.

My kids (4) we’re all into Legos growing up and we had some seriously complex builds. I put bookshelves along an entire wall in the kids playroom for Lego builds. I brought a dozen moving boxes of them when we moved to NC. All very carefully packed :slightly_smiling_face:

Now my wife and I build one or two major pieces a year and several of the smaller ones like the Botanicals collection. I think Lego really tapped into a niche when they added a marketing focus in adults.

I just finished the Sherlock Holmes book nook. Outstanding job on detail and came with a handful of new mini figs. I bought the new gumball machine (dispenses minifig capsules) and custom minifigs of the family. She’ll get it for Christmas

Way Cool.

I have no place to display any more stuff. OTOH, daughter Prime and her hubby build kits, and love it.

I love LEGO! I never played with them as a child, and our kids never were into them either. We got into them last year, and I hate to say, am addicted - we have 132 sets! It started with the Red London Phonebooth and The Orient Express and snowballed from there. We have the Sherlock Holmes Booknook and the Minifigure Vending Machine, but haven’t built them yet, along with about 10 others yet to build. We always build them together, and are constantly amazed how people can come up with the designs and what bricks are needed. We have added so many bookcases and shelves, we no longer have any wall space! But I keep buying them anyway. Waiting for our “Toothless” to be delivered soon.
